About Us

Mike and Julie were born and raised in Eastern Colorado, where an interest in agriculture began at an early age. Julie grew up helping her family farm but always had a passion for livestock. Mike grew up contributing to his family farm south of Seibert, CO.
In May of 1984 Mike and Julie were married and together set the goal to own and operate a self-sufficient farm and ranch. In the 30+ years that followed they raised a family (daughter Kari and son Justin) and expanded their herd of 17 to over 1,000 cows that are pastured on approximately 20,000 owned and leased acres. They also farm over 10,000 acres with their son Justin.

Kari's husband Tyson and Justin's wife Kyla joined the family in 2012 & 2016 (respectively) and are actively involved in advancing the family farm and ranch. Together, the family strives to build on conservation efforts to ensure future generations can be part of the legacy.

The Livingston have an open-door policy for anyone who wants to bring new ideas to the table, or learn how to implement conservation practices. They sincerely value education and relationships, and believe if you take care the land it will take care of you. They realize conservation is not an exact science, and it takes initiative, time, and help from others to get results. The Livingston family wants to continue to improve on their conservation efforts, but also encourage others to implement conservation practices in their own operation.
